A Heartwarming Experience at the East Anglian All Gloster Show
Judging at the East Anglian All Gloster Show in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, felt like judging at home. Having visited the area many times to see dear friends and returning in this capacity, was a truly special experience.
The show was organised by a small but incredibly passionate group of Gloster enthusiasts. The atmosphere was that of a close-knit family, making the event not just a competition but a celebration of shared dedication to the breed. Although the show entry was not overwhelming, it allowed me to judge at a relaxed pace, with time for coffee breaks and friendly conversations.
What stood out the most, however, was the exceptional quality of birds exhibited. Even in the novice section, the standard was impressively high, a promising sign for the future of the East Anglian All Gloster Show. It was inspiring to see such dedication reflected in the exhibits.
If every society could adopt the strengths of this show - its organisation, warmth and focus on quality - the Gloster Fancy would undoubtedly thrive for generations to come.
